2017 is strange

The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.

Rome quake

An Omen? Yesterday, a powerful earthquake with eight aftershocks hit central Italy and was strongly felt in Rome where the metro system and schools were evacuated. People ran in a panic from buildings. Not many paid attention to the fact that this was the old Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter, which Pope John XXIII removed from the General Roman Calendar and the Novus Ordo got rid of altogether.

Never Before: Italian seismologists stated that the intensity of the earthquakes, which happened in the time span between 10.25 a.m. and 4.15 p.m. local time, was a new phenomenon never seen before in recent history in Italy. At the same time the same area has been hit with the heaviest snowfalls in 70 years.

Vatican Gone Insane: LifeSite News published a list of the most insane things uttered by the abortion activist Paul Ehrlich who will be speaking at the Vatican next month. Among others, Ehrlich compared human babies to garbage and claimed that the Catholic Church's moral teachings are "just as unethical" as a "terrorist act." He called the hierarchy of the Catholic Church a force of "evil."

Bishop Gone Mad: Bishop John Noonan of Orlando, Florida forbids parishes from hosting Priests for Life or handing out their material. “Priests for Life” is a prominent pro-life organization in the U.S. and 50 other countries. Noonan is a registered Democrat as of 2012. The Democrats are a political party in the U.S. pushing for abortion, contraception and homosex pseudo-marriage. “Priests for Life” plans to move its headquarters within the boundaries of the Orlando diocese.

FATIMA 2017

Malta Knights at Lepanto – Francis did what the Turks couldn’t do

Malta Knights at Lepanto – Francis did what the Turks couldn’t do

The Pope and the Order of Malta: a Pyrrhic Victory*?
Roberto de Mattei
Corrispondenza Romana
January 25, 2017
The resignation of Fra Matthew Festing, Grand Master of the Order of Malta, imposed on him by Francis on January 23rd, risks being a Pyrrhic victory for the Pope.
Pope Bergoglio has in fact obtained what he wanted, but had to use force, violating both law and common sense. And this is destined to have serious consequences not only inside the Order of Malta, but among Catholics from all over the world, increasingly perplexed and bewildered about the way Francis is governing the Church.
The Pope knew he hadn’t any legal title to intervene in the internal affairs of a sovereign Order and even less so to demand the resignation of its Grand Master. He knew also the Grand Master himself would not have been able to resist the moral pressure of a request for his resignation, even if illegitimate.
By acting in such a way, Pope Bergoglio has exercised an act of dominion openly in contrast with the spirit of dialogue established as the leit motif during the Year of Mercy. However, what is graver still, is that the intervention took place “to punish” the current in the Order which is the most faithful to the immutable Magisterium of the Church and support instead, the secularist wing, which would like to transform the Knights of Malta into a humanitarian NGO, a distributer of condoms and abortificants “for good reasons”. The next designated victim appears to be the Cardinal Patron, Raymond Leo Burke, who has the dual offence of having defended Catholic Orthodoxy inside the Order and of being one of the four cardinals who criticised the theological and moral errors of the Bergoglian Exhortation, Amoris laetitia.
In his meeting with the Grand Master, Pope Francis announced his intention “to reform” the order, that is to say, the resolve to alter its religious nature, even if it is precisely in the name of Pontifical authority that he wants to start the emancipation of its religious norms and morals. This is a plan for the destruction of the Order, which, naturally, will be able to occur solely by the surrender of the Knights, who unfortunately seem to have lost their militant spirit which distinguished them on the fields of the Crusades and in the waters of Rhodes, Cyprus and Lepanto.
In acting so, however, Pope Bergoglio has lost a lot of credibility not only in the eyes of the Knights, but of an increasing number of the faithful who see the contradiction between his captivating and mellifluous manner of speaking, and his intolerant and threatening way of acting.
From the centre we pass to the periphery, which however, is more important than the centre for Pope Bergoglio. A few days before the Grand Master of the Order of Malta’s resignation, other news along the same lines shook up the Catholic world. Monsignor Rigoberto Corredor Bermùdez, Bishop of Pereira in Colombia, by decree on the 16th of January, suspended a divinis the priest Alberto Uribe Medina, because, according to the communiqué of diocese, he had “voiced publically and privately his rejection of the Holy Father Francis’ doctrinal and pastoral teaching, most of all, as regards marriage and the Eucharist.” The diocesan communiqué adds that as a result of his position, the priest “has separated himself publically from communion with the Pope and the Church.”
Don Uribe therefore, has been accused of being a heretic and schismatic for having rejected Pope Bergoglio’s pastoral indications, which, in the eyes of many cardinals, bishops and theologians have the smell of heresy [about them], precisely for the reason that they appear to be departing from the Catholic faith. Which means that a priest who refuses to administer Holy Communion to the divorced and remarried or to practicing homosexuals is suspended a divinis or excommunicated, while those who reject the Council of Trent and Familiaris consortio are promoted to bishops, and perhaps nominated cardinals, as probably Mons. Scicluna, Archbishop of Malta is expecting, [he being] one of the two Maltese Bishops who authorized Holy Communion to the divorced and remarried, living together as man and wife. The name of this small Mediterranean island seems however to have a strange tie to Pope Bergoglio’s future, less trouble free than we can possibly imagine.
Who is orthodox today and who is heretical or schismatic? This is the great debate that appears on the horizon. A de facto schism, as the German daily Die Tagespost defined it, that is, a civil war in the Church, which the war going on inside the Order of Malta is only a pale prefiguration of.

TELL MY CHILDREN I AM HERE

Message received Jan. 23, 2017

My daughter, I am here, I am here! Do not doubt for a moment that I am with you. Tell all My children I hear every cry of their hearts and I hold every tear. Nothing escapes Me. I know all things as I am the Author of all.

You have been on a long journey, a process of skilled refining by the fiery trials and tribulations of this life. All you have experienced has led up to this moment. This season of great change. Do not doubt for a single moment that all that I have spoken shall come to pass. Soon you will have more clarity concerning My timing and My design. Trust Me. Obey. This is the most precious gift you could offer Me, your radical faith that you believe I am who I am.

The enemy cause unrest and many of My people are unsettled. This is not from Me. I give you My perfect peace, ad ask you to enter into My rest. I Am will bring order out of chaos and it is My perfect love that casts out all fear.

Open your hearts fully to receive My complete indwelling. My remnant, prepare yourselves to receive the full measure of My outpouring as I fill you, My vessels, to overflowing. Your Master is completing the final refining in you, My vessels, to fully equip you for all you are about to do for Me to gather the lost and bring them home. Do not resist these last steps, they are essential to mold and shape you into all I have purposed for you in this life. You are ever so near to the finish line.

Resist the devil and he will flee. Do not believe his lies. Be so careful to not become distracted. Seek Me earnestly for I shall always be found. Continue to give Me your everything, and I will show you wonders you would not have previously believed. I am doing a new and wonderful thing. Such glory awaits those who remain faithful.

I tell you, I am coming for you, I am coming!

Be faithful, remain steadfast, have courage, and believe!

I love you My faithful ones, I love you!

Psalm 34:17King James Version (KJV)

17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

1 Peter 4:12-13

12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

1 John 4:18

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

1 Peter 1:7

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Isaiah 64:8

But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

James 4:7

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Jeremiah 29:13

13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Isaiah 43:19

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Famous Author Mosebach: “I do not know if [Francis has] the guts to write, ‘Il Papa ha sbagliato’ (‘The Pope has erred’)”

Famous Author Mosebach: “I do not know if [Francis has] the guts to write, ‘Il Papa ha sbagliato’ (‘The Pope has erred’)”

Of course not, as promoting error is precisely Francis’ plan as the False Prophet.
January 23, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) — The dubia are a “fearless” action of the four Cardinals and the faithful have a “moral right” to an answer, an acclaimed German Catholic writer said in an interview with LifeSiteNews.
Martin Mosebach’s book, Heresy of Formlessness, The Roman Liturgy and Its Enemy, deals with the liturgical reforms in the Catholic Church after the Second Vatican Council and their devastating effects.
Mosebach has written novels, stories, poems, and theater and radio plays. The German Academy for Language and Literature praised him for “combining stylistic splendor with original storytelling that demonstrates a humorous awareness of history.” He is considered one of the greatest novelists in Germany since World War II.
LifeSiteNews recently spoke with Mosebach about the dubia issued by the four Cardinals to Pope Francis regarding his controversial Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia.
LifeSiteNews: Mr. Mosebach, do you know any of the Cardinals who signed the dubia?
Martin Mosebach: I have met three of them on several occasions. Without doubt, the four Cardinals are a kind of elite within the College of Cardinals. Three of them have been longtime diocesan bishops who have defended the Church fearlessly in the most perilous states. Cardinal Brandmüller is a brilliant historian who leans towards a skeptical view which enables him to see the current situation as much from a distance as the past, a gift that is rare among his colleagues.
LifeSiteNews: The Cardinals are called names such as “schismatics” or “renegades.” What is your opinion?
Mosebach: Strangely, the reproaches came from the Curia, which once was known for its careful “curial” style. Apparently, we have to wave even this precious tradition goodbye.
LifeSiteNews: Is the strategy of the dubia the right way to clarify uncertainties?
Mosebach: Dubia means doubts, but I see them more as an act of desperation. What are the faithful supposed to do when their shepherds deny an explanation of an important matter? Think about Jesus and the parable of the woman who pestered the unjust judge so much that he finally did say his sentence because he was afraid to be struck by her. The Cardinals will not go that far, but it becomes more and more clear in the Church that the faithful have a moral right to an answer, whatever it may be.
LifeSiteNews: The answer to the questions should not be difficult for a Catholic – why does Pope Francis not answer?
Mosebach: I would not like to enter the realm of speculation since the Holy Father seems to have an erratic personality with a “wondrous will.” Because of it, though, he triggers speculations even by his silence, which implies that he gives in to the Zeitgeist at the cost of the Church, while in the meantime he can refrain from going expressly against Church tradition so that everybody can take out of his words whatever he finds suitable.
LifeSiteNews: The Church in Germany is often very “selective” with the reception of directives from Rome. Will the dubia even have an effect there?
Mosebach: That is the cause for the dramatic state of the current situation: for the Canadian and the Philippine conferences of bishops, as well as for many other bishops in Germany, there exist no dubia about how to interpret Amoris Laetitia. They explain that the Papal document generally does away with any restrictions regarding admission to the sacraments. In the face of this seemingly omnipresent interpretation, which claims simply an unambiguity of the letter, the four Cardinals’ presentation of the dubia as questions seems extraordinarily respectful and domesticated since they allow for other interpretations.
LifeSiteNews: What do you expect from the “fraternal correction” that was announced by Cardinal Burke?
Mosebach: I do not know if this Pope has the eminence of his predecessor, Pius XI, who had the guts to write, “Il Papa ha sbagliato” (“The Pope has erred”), when he was called out on an error. But if Pope Francis — as seems likely — should try to ignore the dubia continuously, then this will not end without damaging his authority. The result would at least be that the highest Magisterium of the Church does not know how to express itself clearly and is not able to answer uncertainties and do away with doubts. Then it may become clearer that no man — as genius as he might be — is up to the Papacy if he does not submit to tradition.

come aveva detto

Salvezza dai nostri nemici,

Thirty cardinals told Francis not to Publish Amoris Laetitia

Thirty cardinals told Francis not to Publish Amoris Laetitia

Weakening first, then destroying marriage is what Francis and Amoris Laetitia are all about.
ROME, January 23, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — Faithful Catholics may be surprised to learn that as many as thirty cardinals expressed their reservations to Pope Francis about his Exhortation Amoris Laetitia prior to its April 2016 release.
The thirty cardinals, writing to Francis either individually or in small groups, attempted last year to dissuade the pope from releasing Amoris. They warned that it would not only weaken the Church’s teaching on marriage, but on the Eucharist and confession as well, stated the French publication Le Figaro last August.
The Cardinals only submitted their concerns after thoroughly reviewing the text of the exhortation, in accordance with the privilege of their office, Le Figaro reported.
A Vatican source confirmed to the National Catholic Register‘s Ed Pentin the existence of the letters from the thirty, stating that it was during this time that the pope began his trend of refusing to respond to concerns raised about his Exhortation.
Amoris Laetitia, coming after the conclusion of the two synods on the family, was supposed to be a document that strengthened Christian families to live their vocation. Instead, however, its ambiguous teachings on crucial moral issues facing families have given liberal bishops license to allow civilly-divorced-and-remarried Catholics living in adultery to receive Holy Communion.
Pastoral guidelines allowing adulterers to receive Holy Communion include those developed by the Maltese bishops, the bishop of San Diego, and the Argentina bishops.
Kazakhstan Bishop Athanasius Schneider explained in an interview with LifeSiteNews last July that admitting active adulterers to Holy Communion desecrates three Catholic sacraments.
“Once admitting the divorced and remarried to Holy Communion without [first] demanding of them to live in continence and to not violate their sacramental bonds of marriage — not demanding of them to repent and to make a very serious intention not to sin in the future, and so, dispensing them from this — we are at the same time destroying, desecrating, three sacraments which Christ gave us: the sacrament of penance, the sacrament of Eucharist, and the sacrament of marriage,” he said.
Schneider has criticized pastoral guidelines allowing Catholics who have civilly divorced and remarried, and who are not living in continence, to receive Communion as giving them “permission to not observe…the Sixth Commandment.”
Clerics who make such guidelines to appease such sinners are in effect saying that they can “continue in the joy of adultery,” he said.
Last week, Schneider, along with two other bishops, launched a “spiritual crusade” calling on Pope Francis to “revoke in an unequivocal manner” pastoral guidelines that undermine the faith.
Pastors who approve of an adulterous union and allow such a couple to receive Communion are complicit in a “continual offense against the sacramental bond of marriage, the nuptial bond between Christ and the Church and the nuptial bond between Christ and the individual soul who receives his Eucharistic Body,” the bishops wrote.

Francis’ Activity so Far in 2017: “dumpster fire smoke”

Francis’ Activity so Far in 2017: “dumpster fire smoke”

Of course Francis is not really the pope, even though most people assume that he is. His authority is only that of a cardinal from Argentina.
January 23, 2017 (TheStream) — Pope Francis warned us that he wanted to “make a mess” in the church, and at the moment, he seems to be making good on that promise. In still-fresh 2017, we have seen:
  • The pope’s close advisor, Rev. Antonio Spadaro, who edits the quasi-official Vatican journal La Civilta Cattolica, defend Pope Francis’s apparent defiance of the infallible Council of Trent on divorce and remarriage, by explaining that in theology, “2+2=5.”  No one knows quite what that means, but perhaps that’s the point.
  • The bishops of Malta have published a set of guidelines for Holy Communion based on Pope Francis’s ambiguous document Amoris Laetitia, which openly depart from Catholic teaching and practice of 2,000 years. The Vatican’s response? To publish those guidelines, without criticism, in the Vatican’s L’Osservatore Romano.
  • The Vatican’s science congregation, led by Argentine Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, has summoned a conference on biodiversity, and invited as a speaker Paul Ehrlich — a discredited “overpopulation” crank who favors coercive population control and abortion.
  • As Professor Michael Pakaluk of the Catholic University of America revealed, papal ghostwriter, Argentine Archbishop Victor Fernandez, committed plagiarism in the text of Amoris Laetitia — lifting paragraphs almost whole from Fernandez’s own, wacky theological speculations. Some of the most troubling parts of that document which the pope made his own are snipped and tucked from an article where Fernandez asserts that absolutely every human being is saved. At least Fernandez didn’t (so far as we know) include any passages from his 1995 book: Heal Me with Your Mouth: The Art of Kissing.
And we still have 50 more weeks to go!
In light of all this dumpster fire smoke, it seems useful to examine the very narrow limits within which papal authority is circumscribed by the Church’s perennial teaching. Otherwise, well-meaning people might very well get the idea that the Catholic Church is morphing before our eyes into a mainline Protestant denomination. Plus bingo. …

“Under … Francis, the Vatican is systematically silencing, eliminating, and replacing critics” – “that should … worry all faithful Catholics”

“Under … Francis, the Vatican is systematically silencing, eliminating, and replacing critics” – “that should … worry all faithful Catholics”

The tyrannical devil and his minions operate in the same way.
January 25, 2017 (CatholicCulture.org) – For most of us, who are not Knights of Malta, the resignation of the group’s grand master will have little immediate impact. But the unprecedented papal intervention into the affairs of that venerable body fits into a pattern that should, at this point, worry all faithful Catholics. Under Pope Francis, the Vatican is systematically silencing, eliminating, and replacing critics of the Pope’s views.
During the reigns of Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI, “progressive” Catholics frequently complained about a crackdown on theological dissent. On the rare occasions when the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith issued a warning about a wayward theologian’s published works, there were anguished warnings about a reign of terror at the Vatican. Now a crackdown really is occurring—instigated by the Pontiff who famously asked, “Who am I to judge?” And the objects of the current crackdown are not theologians who question established doctrines, but Catholics who uphold the traditional teachings of the Church.
The first and most prominent victim of the purge was Cardinal Raymond Burke, who was exiled from the Roman Curia soon after Pope Francis took office, and given a mostly ceremonial post as patron of the Knights of Malta. It is ironic—and perhaps not coincidental—that the latest incident involves his new charge.
The Pope himself asked for the resignation of Fra’ Matthew Festing, after a disagreement that apparently began with the discovery that the Knights of Malta had been involved in a condom-distribution program. The Vatican jumped into the fray—on the side of the man who was responsible for that involvement. In asserting control over the situation, Pope Francis was not deterred by the argument that the Order of Malta is a sovereign body under international law. Indeed the Vatican announced that the Pontiff plans to appoint a papal delegate to lead the group. “Under international law, what we are seeing is effectively the annexation of one country by another,” remarks canon lawyer Ed Condon.
(Condon goes on to observe that if the Pope goes ahead with his plan, and the Knights of Malta accept his delegate, the precedent thus created will “lurk under the Secretariat of State’s dealings with other governments like an unexploded bomb.” The next time Italian banking authorities demand records of financial transactions at the Vatican bank, or an American attorney for sex-abuse victims seeks to subpoena the dossiers of laicized priests, the Vatican will be in the awkward position arguing that, as a sovereign body, it is not subject to external intervention: the argument that was brushed aside in the rush to bring change at the Knights of Malta.)
But again, the furor over the Knights of Malta is not an isolated incident. Recent weeks have also seen:
  • The wholesale replacement of the prelates on the Congregation for Divine Worship: another unprecedented move, producing an entirely new panel that will be more friendly to the preferences of Pope Francis, and less supportive of the tradition-minded prefect, Cardinal Robert Sarah.
  • The abrupt dismissal of three clerics on the staff of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. No explanation for the firings was given, and according to published reports, the Pope made a point of saying that he was not obliged to give an explanation. But reliable Vatican sources explain that the clerics had been accused of making unflattering comments about Pope Francis—not in public, but in private conversations with colleagues.
  • The contemptuous treatment of the four cardinals who submitted dubia about Amoris Laetitae, by people who are perceived as surrogates for the Pope. And for that matter, the Pontiff’s own studied refusal to answer questions from prelates who should be his trusted advisers.
All these incidents have occurred in a Vatican where the climate has already been formed by the Pope’s tongue-lashings of the Roman Curia, by the blatant manipulation of the Synod of Bishops, by the Pontiff’s daily denunciations of “doctors of the law” and “rigid” clerics. A clear picture emerges: of a Roman Pontiff determined to impose his own will on the universal Church.
In a syndicated column that appeared last week, George Weigel effectively punctured the myth, popular in liberal circles, that Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI imposed ideological control over the Vatican. Those Pontiffs, Weigel points out, regularly promoted men with dramatically different theological outlooks to the College of Cardinals, bestowing red hats on Cardinals Kasper, Marx, Tagle, Mahony, Daneels, Hummes, McCarrick, yes and Bergoglio. The same cannot be said of Pope Francis, who has elevated his potential allies (in the US, Tobin and Cupich) while passing over more senior prelates (Chaput, Gomez, Vigneron, Lori) whose approach did not match his own.
Writing in the National Catholic Reporter last December about the Pope’s bid to pack the College of Cardinals, Father Thomas Reese remarked approvingly that this was “the most revolutionary thing Francis has done in terms of church governance. He is doing everything possible to make sure that his legacy is continued by insuring his successor is someone who reflects his views.” Reese was honest enough to say that if Pope John Paul or Benedict had made the same sort of appointments: “Frankly, I would have been outraged.”
Outrage would have been a reasonable response then, if those earlier Popes had restricted promotions to men who shared their personal opinions. It is a reasonable response now.

Un Papa allarmante. Anche se non siete credenti.

Che bravo El Papa. E’ piaciuto al Congresso. Ad Obama. E’ piaciuto all’ONU al completo.
